Introduction
SCHOOL YEAR 2009-2010
Welcome to a new year in the Science Department. Here are some guidelines to help make your science class productive and successful. A complete copy of this information will be handed out to all science students the first week of school. Each teacher has slightly different requirements for the interactive notebook.
The following are a list of supplies needed for the interactive science notebook.
- Spiral notebook (8 ½ x 11) with at least 180 pages of notebook paper. (This will probably last one semester.) Do not purchase a glued notebook and try to get one that does not have perforations on the pages.
- Highlighters of different colors & colored pencils
- Pen and pencil with an eraser
- Scissors
- Glue sticks or glue
Interactive notebooks will be used in all science classes daily to help you learn and remember important scientific concepts. This notebook style uses both the right and left brain hemispheres to help you sort, categorize and be creative with the knowledge you’re gaining. Further instructions will be given by each science teacher for his/her specific class.
