About Me

I am in my 19th year of teaching for Porterville Unified School District. Although I wasn't born and raised in Porterville, I have a deep connection since many generations of my family grew up here. I spent many summers and most holidays in town as a child and felt very comfortable relocating here. I lived in the Fresno area as a small child, the Bay Area for a few years, and spent my teenage years in Lodi, California. After graduating from CSU Fresno with a B.A. and Credential, I began teaching Health at PHS and coached Volleyball and Track. I decided to move to Granite Hills and helped open the school in 1999. I absolutely love this school and my students. I could not image myself at any other place, especially with our beautiful views and flower covered hillsides in the spring.
